Her story: When Thomascene unexpectedly discovered she was HIV-positive after visiting an emergency room in 1994, she did not expect to live more than 10 years, but today she is a survivor.  Through the help of a support group, Thomascene found her voice and promises to fight HIV/AIDS by encouraging other women to know their status.
